What is the Highest Good?
Understanding how to align with the Sacred Laws and divine consciousness
There is a phrase used by spiritual practitioners, readers, and healers that states the intention of getting help from Spirit for the highest good. When doing a reading or healing with that intention, it allows for Spirit to do what is needed to support the supplicant with the energy or insight to help them without breaking the Sacred Laws.
The Sacred Laws are the laws that Divinity and divine beings such as angels, ascended masters, spirit guides, and elevated star beings must follow. Those at the highest level of consciousness are one with Divinity and are divine beings acting in harmony with the Mind and Heart of God. They are those who may help humanity with all requests and support their evolutionary path of awakening.
The spiritual practitioners who align with Sacred Laws get assistance from the divine beings.
The Sacred Laws that are at issue during a session of healing, reading, or any other practice that brings in the gifts from the heavens are the Law of Free Will, the Law of Truth, and the Law of Love.
In brief, these are three Sacred Laws that Spirit must follow, and anyone working with Spirit must align.
1. The Law of Free Will means that you cannot interfere with another's life choices without their request. In other words, helping another without their request interferes with what could be for their highest good and part of their life's experience. This includes psychically reading someone or sending healing to one who has not personally asked for it.
2. The Law of Truth is that the divine beings must always speak the truth but do not have to tell the 'whole truth.' In other words, what you get from Spirit can be technically accurate but give the impression that it means something different than what it does. Therefore, it is essential to notice how you phrase requests and how Spirit responds to understand their clear meaning. Our prejudices can influence the meaning, so you must be clear and seek clarity when working with Spirit. When Spirit teaches you to watch what you say, it is not to keep you from swearing but to be conscious of phrasing and meaning.
3. The Law of Love is the law that requires Spirit to keep from sharing anything that may cause fear or judgment. Love is free-flowing energy that is expansive, creative, and empowering. Fear and judgment restrict and stop any potential growth. Expansion is the nature of our physical universe therefore it is forbidden for Spirit to restrict it. Therefore, it is against spiritual law to offer any energy or say anything that is not from love.
Many more laws fall under these three Laws. Still, few teachers share these laws because of what it takes to learn them in-depth, and many teachers may not even know them.
But not knowing or following Sacred Laws is dangerous. If you are not adhering to the foundational energies that constitute the relationship between humanity and the dwellers of the heavens then they cannot help you. Following Sacred Law in spiritual practice is essential. But not all spirit beings must follow them and, if you are not following them, you will attract the entities that are not in harmony with divinity. The beings not in harmony with Divinity can break them, just as you can break them. If your work with Spirit does not include following Sacred Law, you will not be connecting to Divine Spirits but low-level mischievous entities. Those low-level spirits are interested in gaining your attention. They exploit the power and control they get when manipulating you. See my previous article, "False Spirit Guides," for more information on the many troubles they cause spiritual practitioners.
Being in harmony with the Sacred Laws is needed for protection from any wrong information or harmful healing. There is a way to utilize the Sacred Laws without being well versed in them. That is to set your intention to serve the highest good. The intention to be of service to the highest good immediately aligns you with Divinity and the divine beings who are here to help you.
Serving the highest good is also Spirit's intention.
Your intention is your protection, but you must genuinely mean it. There is no faking it. If you have a hidden agenda like "I want to be a great healer, " that will take precedence over any nice words.
You may have to dig deep to understand why you want to be on the spiritual path. Even if you are only exploring spiritual gifts for your personal growth, you need to know why and understand it. Through conscious exploration and objective awareness, you can get to know all your reasons for taking this path. Once you understand why you are doing spiritual work, you can shift your core intention to support the highest good.
Think about why you want to work with Spirit, be a healer, a reader, or a channel. Most people will say they wish to "be of service" when asked. If that is your intention, ask yourself to be of service to what? Most want to heal the Earth, humanity or be of service to God/Spirit. Without further introspection, these intentions will seek to empower the ego. If you are willing to see how you may be feeding the ego through self-aggrandizing intentions of saving the world, you can let go of them and shift to serving the highest good. But you cannot shift if those egoic intentions remain hidden.
I ask my students to do this thought exercise: if they got no recognition or reward for their spiritual work being a healer, a reader, or a channel, would they still do it? If not, this path secretly serves ego and is not in harmony with Spirit. Therefore, they should stay away from spiritual work. It is dangerous to open to this energy when the ego is in charge.
If what you get out of working with Spirit can be distilled down to joy, and it is a joyful thing no matter what other things come from it or don't come from it, then you are on the right path.
For the next step, all you need to do is make sure your intention is to serve the highest good.
Let's think about that. Why not serve humanity, the Earth, or Spirit? Why do we have to serve the highest good?
Those who wish to serve the Earth, what does that mean? Does that mean doing healing ceremonies and crystal grids? Does that mean stopping global warming, wars, and disease? How do you know which situation is harming her or healing her? The ego will come up with reasons that something is terrible, and it is your job as a healer of the Earth to fix it.
How do you know if it is bad or good for the Earth? It may serve the highest good to have that experience. Spirit tells me that everything serves a purpose. Instead of interfering with that purpose, ask to see its wisdom. Learn from what is taking place, whether personal or global - there is wisdom hidden behind it. Once you understand the wisdom behind the event, you can ask for guidance on how to change it, if it is time to change it, and if it is for you to do it.
For those who wish to serve humanity, why? Do you have a love for humanity, or do you know what is best for humanity, and they need to learn from you? Many people interested in helping humanity can be authoritarian and wish to impose "what is right" on others. This is the opposite of honoring the Law of Free Will. If you love humanity, you will celebrate the vastness of its expression with every unique human being. In that way, there is nothing to help, only support. If you wish to heal humanity from addiction, disease, and suffering, ask the universe to bring those you can help. Otherwise, thinking you are born to serve humankind can carry the energy of 'savior syndrome.' Being a savior is an ego wound that needs to be addressed before offering any spiritual services.
For those who wish to be of service to Spirit, why? What does Spirit need from you? This is possibly the most egocentric of all the intentions. God/Spirit created the All-That-Is, everything in existence in our physical universe. Since it is their creation, they can do as they wish with it. The only thing stopping them from reversing global warming, ending our suffering, and creating daily miracles for us is us. Because of the Law of Free Will, they cannot help unless we ask. That is all. Other than requesting their help and offering gratitude, what could you possibly do for them?
Spirit has no agenda for you or the Earth. But they are privy to knowing what actions and situations serve the highest good which is something we will never know. It is a great mystery. Spirit knows what serves the highest good for all of us.
Spirit's intention is to serve the highest good, and when you choose that as your intention, you are within the integrity of the Sacred Laws. This intention gives Spirit the power to assist in any way it can help. It takes your ego's fears and judgments out of the equation so it cannot interfere when you are doing spiritual work. If the ego is not interfering with your spiritual practice, then Spirit is allowed to bring their healing essence and loving wisdom to your life here on Earth in many miraculous ways.
