Don’t Say That! You Will Speak It Into Being
Are day-to-day phrases, thoughts, and feelings manifesting the life we live?
Let me explain the power of manifesting with sound and words, and thoughts and feelings.
Even with the very loose style of parenting I had as a child, I remember being told not to say I hated someone, or to wish someone dead. As a child with little emotional regulation and 5 siblings, our fights would provoke my darkest desires. I remember the intensity of anger that ran through my powerless self. It filled me up with thoughts of revenge and inhalation.
If words, thoughts, and feelings had the power to manifest, my worst inclinations and biting curses would not only have harmed them, but I would have grown up an only child.
Nothing ever happened. The bloodthirsty feelings of a five-year-old had no effect. They never even had an accident.
In spiritual circles, I hear a lot about ‘speaking it into being’. Which is the belief that saying something is assisting it to manifest. Such as, if we fear someone is going to die because of a cancer diagnosis, we cannot express that fear without believing it will act as a kind of curse to make it so.
But does it?
If you suppress the fear of losing a friend and replace it with positive thoughts about their healing, will it work? No, because the fear doesn’t go away. It hides and festers. Additionally, your thoughts and feelings have no influence on their health. Their path to health or completing their life cycle has nothing to do with you. You are not that powerful.
Another problem with the idea of using thoughts and words to manifest is dealing with the worst-case scenario. The belief is that considering, or preparing for, things going bad can make bad things happen. Therefore, people ignore the potential bad outcome and replace it with a positive thought. People view positive thinking as a way to protect themselves from the worst-case scenario.
But is it?
Preparing for disasters does not invite disasters. It can help quell hidden fears and give relief to the psyche so that we release fear. Positive thoughts alone can’t make negative feelings disappear. Instead, they hide in our unconscious and affect our well-being, preventing us from embracing the best outcomes.
Speaking it into being never worked for me. Through experience and meditation, I have found the opposite to be true. Exploring my psyche for the lurking fears and confronting those fears helps to release them. Releasing my fears unblocks the path to manifestation. If I did not release fear, then I would be stuck. This results in not being able to manifest what I want or manifests what I fear.
Fear has far greater manifesting power than positive thinking. Fear has an emotional charge that gives energy to the power of manifestation. No amount of positive thinking can work when fear attaches to it. And fear can hide. We can deny we even have it.
Negative emotions are teachers. Anger, fear, worry, anxiety, are here to show us what needs attention. They show us what is ready to be healed and processed out of our psyche so that we can grow into the person, career, and relationship we desire. If we do not face negative thoughts, we will never manifest our potential.
When a negative emotion shows up, examine it. If you fear losing your friend, give that fear space to show you what it is communicating without trying to suppress it. Get to know what you fear, and why you fear it. Once you do that, you will discover the way to release it or heal its origin.
If there is a potential problem coming your way, prepare for the worst and you will find your fears dissipate. If you have enough emergency supplies to get you through a natural disaster, your fear of that disaster will lessen. The emotional trigger that was suppressed by not preparing leaves. Therefore, your fears are far less likely to manifest.
Manifestation takes energy, and emotional energy is the source of manifestation. The Law of Attraction does not work with words, intentions, thoughts, or visualizations without the power of emotion. If the emotion of fear is blocking the positive emotion of joy, then you will not manifest what you desire. And no amount of positive thinking will help.
Being devoted to working with the power of manifesting requires a thorough analysis of the hidden psyche, which can be the pathway to healing the past. One must be courageous enough to face their fears and allow the negative feelings to be expressed. Bring your negative thoughts into the light to be healed. You can do this by journaling, counseling, or meditating.
I recommend looking at your blocks to manifesting by exploring your deepest fears and becoming free of them.
If you want help with this, I am doing a 4-week seminar to heal what blocks you so you may manifest what you desire. We start on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Please check out this link for more information on how to join us!
